Wow! That’s right, wow! PopCap has really done it again with a very unique twist on a very common gamming style!
Plants vs. Zombies is more or less a “Tower Defense” style game, but this game contains some serious twists that makes it a very unique. You are defending your house from zombies that invade the front yard, back yard, and even the roof!
Most Tower Defense games are based around a maze system that the enemy follows to get to a destination that you are trying to protect. With Plans Vs Zombies, there is no maze, rather, your yard is divided into six lanes and zombies make their way down a lane toward your house. Zombies cannot move into other lanes (unless you use an Onion in later levels) but you will have to deal with several zombies making their way down row at the same time.
Plants vs. Zombies creatively combines an incredible variety of plants (towers) and zombies (enemies). You will be able to use up to 48 different kinds of plants with numerous offensive, defensive, and production capabilities. You will be challenged by 26 different zombies. After successfully defending your house, the end of each level will unlock a new plant or item to add to your arsenal.
After completing the 50 adventure game play levels, there is still a ton of gaming left in Plants Vs Zombies. There are 19 mini games plus a survival mini game, then there are another 18 puzzle games with 2 more endless puzzle games, plus the final survival mode game where you just last as long as possible.
Final word on Plants Vs Zombies, PopCap really hit a home run with this game in my books. Everything from the game play itself to the fun graphics, silly sound effects and in game surprises make this a game that is very addictive and a top rated game!
