Totem Tribe has been a great surprise with its depth of addicting game play, its rich storyline and the hours of fun it provided! Totem Tribe has successfully combined four different game styles into one platform. If you’re a fan of such simulation games as Virtual Villages, My Tribe, plus enjoy some real time strategy like Garden Defense, but also enjoy hidden object / seek style game play such as Mystery Case Files, this is the game for you! Totem Tribe game play reminds me of the early WarCraft games, but without the tedious resource management aspects of the game.

The storyline behind Totem Tribe is that after a meteoric crash destroys their land, the Hawk Tribe seeks refuge on a distant island called Tetala. Now the tribe`s new leader, young Aruku, needs your help in leading her people to glory and prosperity. Amass workers, scouts, warriors, and various indispensable dinosaur troops, then stake your claim on the land. Govern, command, and fight to expand your empire, even as rival tribes threaten to destroy everything you`ve worked so hard to build.

General Tips & Strategy That Can Be Use On Almost Any Island

General Tips & Strategy That Can Be Use On Almost Any Island
  • Start out each island by building 3-4 hunts. This will train 3 tribesman each and will further speed building your next buildings.
  • Make sure to direct your fighting troops and your scouts by using the attack and scout ground markers.
  • Build towers at the edges of your island or by mountains to see beyond your normal view range. You’ll be surprised what you can find outside of your scouts viewing range by using Towers.
  • Read all the obelisks on each island, unread obelisk will glow with yellow light. Each obelisk will provide very helpful hints, guidance and challenges.
  • Towers are the only building that can be placed far away from the other buildings in your village. After a tower is placed, other buildings can be built around it, so you this to your advantage if you want to extend your village beyond the standard area where your main village is placed.
  • While Towers are primarily defensive structures, you can build Towers away from your village, you can also use Towers as an attack tool as well when constructed near enemy camps.
  • Build tribe buildings as close together as possible to make sure you take full advantage of the island land as possible.
  • Look for paths leading into your tribes village or anticipate where attacks may come from and proactively build towers to block off those attack routes with your Towers defenses.
  • You must protect your main characters, Aruku and Guro. If your main characters die you have to start over from the last time you save the game. Save the game frequently by clicking the quit button, which will save your games progress.
  • You may need to “backtrack” to previously visited islands to find all the objects available. When you receive the ability for Scouts to swim, or when you receive Ice and Fire towers, remember previous islands where you could have used these abilities and backtrack to open up those previously unreachable areas.
